Heritage Day 2009

On Heritage Day (Monday) we took my nieces to see the show at Prince’s Island Park. It was actually pretty boring and I was disappointed to see how the event has really gone downhill over the years. I remember going as a kid and it was much better then, but now it seems like they have a significantly lower budget. I’m sure the gloomy weather didn’t help either, but still…

Nevertheless, my nieces asked me to post the pictures I took, so here they are:

You can see much more of these pictures (and download full-sized versions) at DMpix.com We didn’t stay for too long and didn’t see all that much of the show so there aren’t tons of pictures.

For the part of the show that we did see, there were a lot of Latin American dancers/performers. The majority of the food vendors there were also Latin American and all of them were promoting Expo Latino too… Hm.
