August 9, 2009 – Photo Day

I spent the afternoon today with my friend Josh to help him break-in his new Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR Camera...

First we went to Weaselhead Flats near Glenmore Park. In all the years I've been in Calgary, I've never been there before – what a gorgeous place! You can view my photos on Flickr as well as Josh's photos on Flickr by clicking on the links.

After a while the mosquitos started getting to us so we decided to head over to the Shaw Millennium Skateboard Park in Downtown Calgary and take some photos there. Again, you can view my photos on Flickr as well as Josh's photos on Flickr by clicking on the links.

What a great way to spend the day! Thanks again Josh!

Post a comment below and let me know what you think!

I've decided to give Flickr a try for a while. What do you think – do you prefer seeing my photos directly on my blog instead? Or do you like viewing them through Flickr? Or both?

I'm torn between Flickr and MobileMe gallery, photos look better on MobileMe due to the dark background, and I prefer the gallery layout... but you can post comments on Flickr. I can't decide what's more important to me...

Hey Daniel,

Thanks to you too! Had an absolute blast. Could become a weekly thing if we ever manage to live in the same city! Nice work :)

The lack of background colour choices has always been a sore point for Flickr. But there's the community aspect to Flickr that is great to be part of. It's definitely a tradeoff though.
