I randomly came across this... and believe it or not, I happened to be in the front car of the c-train in question. That dude is so lucky... after the driver blew his horn, slammed on the brakes and then quickly jumped out of the raised c-train door using the emergency release lever, he made his way to the back of the first car where this drunk guy happened to find himself. Another passenger on the train pulled the emergency lever so that we could see what was going on. We all thought that someone was hit and most likely seriously hurt, or worse, dead. However, to our relief the driver pulled the stunned and definitely intoxicated man up from between the train and the cement beside the pedestrian crossing.

The transit peace officer who came aboard told us that the man was not actually hit by the c-train, so I guess he dodged out of the way just quick enough (maybe in his drunken state he couldn't figure out the push-pull of the pedestrian gate?). Either way, one lucky guy.
